Women's Diagnostics

Our Women's Diagnostic Centers specialize in the earliest possible detection of breast disease, including breast cancer, close to home. You may choose to come to Doylestown Hospital or The Health and Wellness Center in Warrington, PA, for your mammograms and other diagnostics.

Our centers use only the latest digital technology enhanced by computer-aided detection (CAD) software. The CAD system acts like a second set of eyes and tags potential abnormalities for our radiologist reading your digital image.

The American College of Radiology (ACR) designated our Women's Diagnostic Centers as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. In addition, we became the first Bucks County hospital to earn accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and voluntarily comply with NAPBC's highest standards.

Prevention

Take charge of your breast health and reduce the risk of breast cancer by scheduling a routine mammogram. Our Women’s Diagnostic Centers specialize in the earliest possible detection of breast disease using 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis) to provide a more in-depth look at breast tissue as well as breast ultrasound and 3T MRI with Ambient Experience for high-risk breast cancer screening. We also perform diagnostics like breast biopsy if a suspicious mass needs further investigation.

Symptoms

Different people have different symptoms of breast cancer. Some people do not have any signs or symptoms at all. Some warning signs of breast cancer are:

  • New lump in the breast or underarm (armpit).
  • Thickening or swelling of part of the breast.
  • Irritation or dimpling of breast skin.
  • Redness or flaky skin in the nipple area or the breast.
  • Pulling in of the nipple or pain in the nipple area.
  • Nipple discharge other than breast milk, including blood.
  • Any change in the size or the shape of the breast.
  • Pain in any area of the breast.

Keep in mind that these symptoms can happen with other conditions that are not cancer. If you have any signs or symptoms that worry you, be sure to talk to your health provider right away.

Our Women's Diagnostic Centers offer the following screening and diagnostic services for all breast health needs:
