Infectious Disease

Infectious diseases are caused by microscopic organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites and can be spread directly or indirectly, from one person to another. Many infectious diseases, such as colds, will resolve on their own and are preventable with handwashing, vaccinations and other simple measures. Other infectious diseases are more complicated and can be treated with antibiotics, antivirals and other medications.

Our board-certified infectious disease physicians provide expertise to you as well as consult with primary care providers (PCP) about infectious diseases.
