About Robert P. Akbari, MD

Robert Akbari, MD is a colon and rectal surgeon with Doylestown Health. He is a native of Bucks County Pennsylvania.  He moved back to the area in 2014 to serve the community where he grew up.  Dr. Akbari is double-boarded and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS). He has authored a number of publications and is skilled in all facets of colorectal surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Akbari enjoys hiking, fly-fishing, and spending time with his family.

As a colorectal surgeon, his philosophy of care centers on compassion, expertise, and collaboration. He is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based care to each patient, recognizing the sensitive nature of colorectal conditions. He believes in open communication, empowering patients with knowledge and involving them in decision-making.
